Lifetime Mortgages

Available to homeowners aged 55 or over, CPB Financial Services Limited can find you the right option that will enable you to borrow a one-off lump sum or a more flexible plan allowing you take multiple lump sums during the lifetime of the agreement against your home. You can also explore a flexible range of repayment options should you wish, allowing you to choose whether you want to make monthly interest payments, one-off voluntary payments, or no payments at all.

The loan and interest are repaid in full, usually from the sale of your home when you (and your partner in the case of a joint lifetime mortgage) pass away or are placed into long term care.

With a lifetime mortgage you will retain ownership of your home, and your home will never be repossessed (as defined in the terms and conditions of the loan).

What happens when I die or am placed into long term care?

The people dealing with your estate will be given a reasonable length of time to repay the loan. This currently stands at 12 months. Interest will continue to accrue until the loan is repaid in full. Normally repaid by the sale of your home, this is not always necessary if there are other other means by which the funds can be raised to repay the loan.
